Carb free Italian!

I loveeeeeeeeeeee Italian food. Pizza, pasta yum but oh the carbs. They're sinful! And so here are my substitutes for summer. Pasta and pizza with no guilt....

Zucchini spaghetti with avocado pesto

1 zucchini
1 avocado
Bunch of basil
2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs pine nuts
25g Parmesan
1 clove garlic
Sliced baby tomatoes
Blend together avo, basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan add more olive oil if it needs. Can mix in passata if you want (I did)

Slice zucchini with peeler
Steam for a couple of minutes

Mix sauce in with zucchini
Top with tomatoes more Parmesan and pine nuts and chilli flakes, black pepper if you fancy
I then microwaved for 45 secs to warm up and soften tomatoes

Cauliflower vegetarian pizza

1 cup grated raw cauliflower
1 egg
1/2 cup mozarella
1 tsp oregano
1/2 garlic clove
Toppings and pizza sauce

Combine all ingredients except sauce and toppings. Spoon out onto greased tray. Top with sauce and toppings

All dressed up with 'Libertine' to go

I have been meaning to go to this new club in Mayfair since it opened. I used to regularly go to the club it was before- 'chinawhite' and it loyally brought me good nights filled with bubbly drinks, bubbly people and bubbly conversation.

So visiting this club was a no-brainer. We contacted a friend who works there and I set off with my posse in tow. Namely the beautiful Abigail, Olivia, Natalia, Ellie, Claudia and me! Plus the boysies. We trotted off in our carefully chosen 'edgy chic' outfits (as Abi and I like to call them).

The night started off well with easy entry to VIP, plenty of drinks etc but we soon grew bored of the crowd...

The decor is like the nearby club project, very glitsy! There were some very good looking boys. Some even showed up in some flashy cars and got a vip back entrance treatment before being plonked in the middle of the dancefloor with the rest of us!

Soon we headed back home for some brownies and this was the highlight of the evening.... UBer cars my new app! I love it, it's amazing I even had a massage chair and tv screens. Our driver was so cute we felt like we'd known him forever. Never getting a normal taxi again!

All in all, the night was average at best. Although this was maybe not a reflection on the club but on the night itself.

How to be spontaneous

I have been meaning to share this for a while. My best friend, Abi and I always seem to have the best nights out ever. For a long time I have been pondering why this is and in fact for the best part of four years I had concluded that we were each other's lucky charms. However I have recently realised it is not that all. Despite our sparkling personalities and unbelievable beauty (ahem) we possess one quality together that not many people truly have. And this is.... DUM DUM DUM

Spontaneity...

And hence I thought I would share my little lesson into how to have a successful night out by using a case study: two Saturday nights ago.

Have you ever seen the movie yes man with jim Carey? Well I have and the moment he starts saying yes to everything he goes on all these adventures and frankly has the best time for a while. Now I'm not suggesting that you say yes to drugs or yes to carrying something that someone gave you onto a plane! I'm not even suggesting saying yes to sex with handsome strangers. I am simply saying give yourself a chance to have a good time, loosen up don't be closed minded and be positive.

Onto the case study partly because I love telling the story and partly because I think people could learn from it! So we had agreed to meet two guys who we had mutual friends with for drinks in nobu. It was entirely spontaneous and we were not romantically interested in either of them but all the same we dolled ourselves up and off we trotted. It was awkward at first although we bumped into the god himself Matthew Williamson.

We then moved onto le salon (a club in Old Burlington street) we literally danced the night away continuing with our positive attitudes plus some positively smashed dance moves.

Then my starting spontaneous moment came, the elusive and highly good looking AP came up to me and said 'how spontaneous are you'. I mean at this point I can't be sure anyone would say no to those brown willy wonky chocolate eyes or that perfect amount of stubble. But if you would have DON'T unless you're a boy or a girl who's not into boys. At this point I said 'very' and followed him outside to apparently "find a cash point" down a dead end road...
Without a shop in sight... (Remember I already knew him well I'm not an idiot)

Anyway AP and I kissed for a few minutes which were apparently an hour before I returned to my new best friends. At this point they were outside in the smoking area deciding the next plan of action. This is where abi had her starring spontaneous moment. 'I wanna go to the langham'. Off we headed to the renowned and respected hotel to ask for two rooms at 3am in clubbing clothes. Not my most dignified moment. But it was an epic night which concluded with a hilarious breakfast and an amazing story to recount!

The boys footing the spontaneous bill

So next time you feel that no coming on, have a good think...

Abi's comment on it all: No one looks back on their life and remembers the nights they got plenty of sleep.
:) same shit different day for us haa xx

My weekend in paradise

I have been the worst blogger ever I am so sorry but I have been so busy on holiday!

Imagine an old estate with the surroundings of an Alice in wonderland garden and the past of an older, classy playboy mansion. The food which makes Michelin stars seem inadequate and a spa that you could easily imagine Kmid swanning around in. This is cliveden house and thus my magical weekend I had to share with you all.

So I will give you a run through o a typical day at cliveden...

Wake up to a pre chosen breakfast in your beautiful room.

Head to the legs, bums and tums class or take a walk around the gardens...

Then head for a swim, steam, sauna and their Parisian top to toe treatment. This is a full body massage, facial, exfoliation it is heavenly......

There is also an outdoor pool and hot tubs but more for summer.

Head to one of Heston blumenthal's restaurants for lunch... You've earned it

Spiced squash soup with salted hazelnuts

Chicken and mushroom pie

Shepherds pie with dehydrated cheese

Lemon sole

Almond broccoli

The famous triple cooked chips!

Steak with marrow sauce

Treacle tart with milk ice cream

Millionaire shortbread with chocolate wine slush

Chocolate and wine... My two favourite things

Wander around a quaint little nearby town, go back to the hotel chill, horseride, eat your complimentary jellybean filled, gold leafed Easter egg...

Then head back and get ready for your equally amazing dinner!!

We headed to what seemed like a cute pub but what was actually as yummy as the Michelin starred lunch...

B and B cookham m&ms!

Duck ravioli

Chilli jam and squid

There was even chalk on the table for when we got bored between courses!

Lobster and steamed veg

Duck

Mint tea

Eton mess

Chocolate fondant, passion fruit drizzle and chocolate orange ice cream

Then you can head out for cocktails with your best friend!

Our 3 types of alcohol and Oreos and cream cocktail!

Head back home for sleep in your cloud like bed.... Repeat tomorrow!

Oh come on, who wouldn't wanna go?

Just don't forget your wellies!
